Itinerary
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be met by your Serengeti Smile safari guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. This will be your time to rest and recover from the journey, surrounded by the peaceful ambiance of northern Tanzania.
If time permits, you are welcome to join a complimentary guided tour of Arusha, offering insight into local culture, history, and daily life.

After an early breakfast, your guide will pick you up from the lodge and drive you to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania’s most iconic parks. Famous for its vast elephant herds and majestic baobab trees, Tarangire also offers excellent wildlife viewing — especially during the dry season when animals gather around the Tarangire River.
Expect to see giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, and possibly predators like lions or leopards. After a scenic game drive and a picnic lunch inside the park, you'll continue exploring the landscapes before heading to your lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, depart Tarangire and begin the scenic journey to Central Serengeti National Park. You'll enjoy a picnic lunch at a suitable spot inside the park before continuing with an afternoon game drive en route to your camp.
The Serengeti is world-famous for its vast open plains and the annual Great Migration of wildebeest, zebras, and antelope. Central Serengeti (Seronera region) is also rich in year-round wildlife, making it one of the best places to spot big cats like lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
Prepare for incredible wildlife sightings and breathtaking landscapes as you head into the heart of Tanzania’s most iconic park. Tomorrow will be dedicated entirely to game drives in the Serengeti.

This region offers dramatic wildlife encounters as massive herds of wildebeests, zebras, and other grazers attempt to cross the crocodile-infested Mara River on their journey to the Masai Mara in Kenya. Your expert safari guide will navigate to the best possible locations for river crossing sightings and photo opportunities.
The Northern Serengeti is less crowded and offers stunning, untouched scenery—ideal for photography and peaceful observation of nature's most awe-inspiring spectacle.

Tracking the Great Migration & Scenic Drive South
After an early breakfast, embark on a final morning game drive in the Northern Serengeti, focusing on catching any last glimpses of the Great Migration along the Mara River. Your guide will position you strategically for the best sightings, whether it’s a dramatic river crossing or predators following the herds.
Later in the day, you’ll begin your journey southward toward the Central Serengeti (Seronera area), traversing one of the most iconic landscapes in Africa. Keep your eyes peeled en route for elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, and other wildlife.
This transition gives you a unique opportunity to witness how the ecosystem shifts between regions of the park.

Wildlife Wonder in the World’s Largest Caldera
After breakfast, you’ll depart early with picnic lunch boxes for a full-day game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater—a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. This massive, unbroken volcanic caldera is home to approximately 30,000 animals living in a naturally enclosed ecosystem.
Expect up-close sightings of lions, elephants, buffalo, and possibly the critically endangered black rhino. The crater floor's rich diversity also includes flamingos at the lake, hyenas, jackals, zebras, wildebeests, and an impressive variety of birds.
After your immersive safari experience, you'll ascend from the crater and head to your lodge in nearby Karatu for relaxation and your overnight stay.

Scenic Game Drive & Farewell to the Wild
After breakfast, you’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park for a final game drive with packed lunch. Known for its tree-climbing lions, large baboon troops, and lush groundwater forests, the park offers a diverse landscape and rich birdlife—including flamingos along the lakeshore.
You’ll enjoy a relaxing drive through the park while soaking in the last moments of your Tanzanian adventure. After your game drive, your guide will transfer you to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home or onward travel.
